Synopsis: Dirk, a local silver miner exits the Bird Cage Theatre and leans on the hitching rail outside. A stranger in black enters from the east end of the town, they move to the centre of the road and face off. Molly rushes out of the saloon just as the men draw, she is shot and lays dead in the street. The saloon quickly empties and surrounds the lifeless body of Molly. The stranger walks away, Dirk never fired a shot, he drops to his knees at Molly’s side, he picks up her hand, he realises the man in black has just shot and killed his bride, they were to be married on this day. The onlookers go back to the saloon as the undertaker arrives and takes Molly’s body away, Dirk is left alone in the dust of tombstone.
